We left Adelaide and after two sea days we docked in Albany Australia. Albany looked to be a scenic area so we and another couple decided to take an 8 mile walk along the shore from the port area to Emu Cove.
Along the way we saw what is left of the Point King Lighthouse at the entrance to Princess Royal Harbor. Because of its rocky, isolated location the lightkeeper's families had to be resilient and self sufficient. One of them lived in the lighthouse for 36 years and raised a family of 8 children there!

Then we continued our walk to Emu Point. Once we got to Emu Point we stopped for lunch and took a taxi back to the ship.
