Travel Clinic

It's Thanksgiving week and we've traveled from sunny, warm Florida to cold and snowy New England to spend the holiday with family. On Monday we flew to Connecticut & then drove to our condo in Vermont where we arrived after dark. It snowed all day Tuesday - very pretty but very cold. On Tuesday we had an appointment at the Travel Clinic at Dartmouth Medical Center. The purpose of the visit was to find out what shots and medications we'd need for our upcoming trip. We anticipated a relatively short visit but two hours later we left with our heads  spinning from everything they told us about how to stay safe and not get sick. We were give a large folder full of information with promises of even more that would be mailed to us in the near future. We also expected to get some shots during the visit. A 3 Month Cruise?

It's been a while since the 1st post. Summer has come and gone. While it was a good summer, some unexpected things happened and the blog became an after-thought ... until now. Social season on the Suncoast is in full swing. There are plenty of activities keeping us busy but in addition to that, we're preparing for a 3 month cruise. Yes ... 3 months! I can imagine your reaction .... just the two of you for 3 months? 3 months on a ship? Have you ever been away that long? These are the questions/reactions we've gotten from almost everyone who has heard about our upcoming adventure. The answers are yes, yes and no. We booked this cruise about 18 months ago. Back then it seemed like a dream but now that we're less than 2 months from departure, it's all very real and there are lots of things to attend to in preparation! Right now we're in the process of getting new passports. Our current ones don't have enough blank pages for this trip. Next wee
